Ponderosa wood post fence is a revolution in the fence industry.  This fence is the combination of wood and steel fencing. Beginning with galvanized metal, Priefert Fence tubing is passed through a phosphate wash, cleaning the metal of any impurities that may cause finish to fail.  A conversion coating is then applied for the added adhesion.  Finally, the tubing is powder coated using a high quality architectural grade powder with UV inhibitors to help resist fading. Rail is available in Black or Brown finish.
The all wood posts are pressure treated, after all holes are drilled to ensure the longevity of the wood. Â Every wood post comes with a domed top for safety and watershed. The holes drilled for tubing are cone shaped for flexibility over terrain and in and around curves. This innovative design fits the outer diameter of the tubing, in the center of the hole, while allowing the rail freedom of movement towards the outer dimensions of the drilled post.
Effortless connection using the same concept as the “swedge” tubing connection, the Ponderosa post connectors allow for expansion and contraction as well as versatility. Â The end of the tubing is cut to exact length, the connector slides into the tubing and connects to the post with two lag bolts.
We also offer matching gates specially designed for the Ponderosa line of fencing.  The Ponderosa Gate attaches to the wood post using a decorative clamp system that allows you to adjust the gates position before drilling your holes.  For four railed fences, the Ponderosa Gate aligns to each of the rails centers, integrating perfectly into the existing flow of the fence.  Each Ponderosa Gate also comes with an alignment bolt to quickly level the gates pitch.  Adjustment is a snap with the use of a standard impact wrench or socket set.
